Science Nights

Introduce your school community to the exciting world of science by having Mad Science conduct your Science Night! Our Science Night packages include one hour and forty five minutes of fun, hands-on experiments that will captivate and mesmerize everyone.

Science Show: Attendees will experience a spectacular science show. This highly interactive presentation will entertain both students and parents alike. See chemical reactions, fantastic forces and explosive experiments! Click here for a list of available shows.

Science Stations: Each station is staffed by professional Mad Scientists and filled with interactive exhibits, which will help students understand scientific principles. Students and parents can rotate through the following Science Stations: (Take home item can be added to any of our science stations.)

Magnetism: Explore the magnificent world of magnets! Interact with magnets in motion, levitate objects and experiment with magnetic fields.

Optical Illusions: Learn how our eyes can play tricks on us. Experience a mirage as you reach for objects that aren't there and challenge your brain with classic illusions.

Dry Ice: Discover the amazing properties of dry ice! Learn about sublimation and create a large-scale bubbling potion.

Under Pressure: Learn how Bernoulli’s principle keeps planes in the sky and Ping-Pong balls floating in midair at our air pressure fun table.

Super Structures: This booth introduces children to the fascinating science of architecture and engineering. Students will build classic architectural structures such as columns and arches. They will conduct tests to see which shape makes for the strongest structure.

Fundamental Forces: Students will see centripetal force in action with help from a coin vortex. Multiple experiments will have them looking for the center of gravity in order to balance objects and themselves!

Zap Attack:  Witness our indoor lighting bolts and have your hair stand on end with help from a Van de Graaff generator.

Make & Take Booths: Students will make and take home science projects while learning the about science that makes them possible. Make & Take Booths include:

Slippery Slime: Discover the ooey gooey origins of plastic and make your own batch of slippery slime.

Do U.V. what I see?:  Learn all about the sun’s harmful rays as you make your own Ultra Violet light detector key ring.  Once these devices are present in sunlight you’ll see awesome color changes that detect UV radiation.

Superball Factory: Fill these amazing chambers with our secret sand and dunk them in water for sixty seconds.  Then let them dry and crack them open to reveal an incredible high bounce ball that you created!

Crystal Gardens:  Witness the wonder of the natural chemistry as we demonstrate how geodes and stalagmites can form in our environment.   Then create your very own crystal garden in a mini test tube and watch it grow!

Science Night is a one hour and forty five minute program. Students will be split into two groups. One group will enjoy our Science show while the other will explore our Science Stations and Make & Take Booths.  After 45 minutes the groups will switch so that all attendees experience the show and booths. All we need from you is a table for the show and each station! We provide the rest of the equipment and materials to make the night as hassle free as possible for  the organizers. Science Night packages are can accommodate up to 100 students. The event includes a Science Show, two Science Stations, and two Make & Take booths (a Science Station with added take home item can be chosen in lieu of a Make & Take booth).

If your school has had a Science Night with us in the past, please mention this when scheduling for NEW Science Night programming.
